A warm welcome on behalf of the organiser of the International Dance Sport Championship, standard and latin 2019 and the Swiss Federation of Dance Sport "STSV". The International Championship will be held this Sunday, 2019/05/18 in western Switzerland at the Centre Sportif de la Vallée de la Jeunesse located in the town of Lausanne.
If you plan to stay a little bit longer, Lausanne is very close to many popular excursion destinations such as
Montreux and the Chillon-Castle, Zermatt and the Matterhorn, the Jungfrau and Lucerne, the
historical hamlet of Gruyères, the Diablerets Glacier, the Vaud Alps and the famous
French resort of Chamonix. Not to mention all the interesting places to visit in Lausanne, including
the Olympic Museum. As you probably know, the competition is going to take place next door
to the International Olympic
Committee.
Lausanne can easily be reached from anywhere (see travel information)
– by road (the A1/E25 and A9/E27 motorways), by train (both the Swiss Federal Railway network and
the French TGV Paris-Milan line) and by air (just 40 miles from Geneva-Cointrin International Airport). |
